Welcome to Summerhill Stables! This is also the home of our sister barn, The Stables at Norwood. Both of our barns are owned and operated by Joe Hairfield, who has been an active member of the equine boarding community for over 20 years. Located in Powhatan, Va, we are very convenient to Short Pump, Midlothian, and Richmond. Our main priority is to make you and your horse as happy as possible while offering you both a quiet and relaxing environment. We cater to all equine lovers from competitive hunter, jumper, and dressage riders to those who just want to trail ride on the weekend or groom on older horses.  Outside trainers are welcome to come to either of our barns, yet we do not require that you take lessons. We have experience caring for horses at all stages of life and do not hesitate to take on retirees or sensitive show horses.
